Monster's Inc. Mike

Hi!
I just started with my Mike and I will show you every step in this thread. I hope that I will get a good end result...
The first thing I play around with is his eye:

Nice start, i think that the hardest bit is going to be his eyelids, as they stretch alot. I'm not sure if animating the end and start sweep will look right, then again I might be wrong.

Yes I think you will have to make it very dense and maybe make morph targets. (tell me if I am wrong)

Very good looking eye. Did you end up using the texture technique I suggested in the newbie forum?

I don't know if you suggested the same technique in the newbie forum: it's a colour ramp with some noise added and a second sphere with a raytracing material for the light reflections...

I was glancing at the movie and your eye and noticed that your eye should be slightly more blue. Not too much but just enough so its not pure green. May be change the reflective color.

I think the modelers gave him non-green eye for a purpose, else he would look like... too much green/yellow. He would probably loose some "personality" if his eye-color had similarities to his green body user added image

Thx for telling me this point- i will change the eye colour- by the way: there are 2 really short scenes in the film where Mike has green colours like the ones I created(has to be a mistake user added image)
