This course contains a little bit of everything with modeling, UVing, texturing and dynamics in Maya, as well as compositing multilayered EXR's in Photoshop.

Complete Animated Short Movie Tutorial...

is there a beginer to intermediate user tutorial (or set of tutorials) that tackle the creation of an animated short movie (2-5 mins long) from story boarding to final render and production... maybe something that includes concept, modeling, set creation, rigging, texturing, animating, sound mixing, simple voice sync, facial rigging and animation, and so on, to produce a complete animated short movie...

That should get you started just to say if your just starting out in Maya a 5 minute movie is a massive project. I'd expect 3 - 6 people to work on something like that for more than a few months. Depending on the type of project.

Best of luck to you

thank you so much Dave, these tuts are very helpful... maybe in the near future, SimplyMaya can create the ultimate tutorial(s) for something like this, where every aspect of it is dealing with the same characters and project...
