This course contains a little bit of everything with modeling, UVing, texturing and dynamics in Maya, as well as compositing multilayered EXR's in Photoshop.

speedy - summer challenge

I think im goin to join this one, Could do with workin on my textures.

FIRST IDEA - abandoned Helicopter - thinking rusty metal, smashed windows, bend rotory blades and and broken tail perhaps with either vines and weeds growing over it. It could tell the story that its been to war or crashed and the survivors up and left it maybe.

SECOND IDEA - Was thinking of a child's doll, all burnt, dirty and missing a limb or and eye with ragged clothes. It would tell the story of the child either replacing the doll or maybe outgrown it so its just been left to rot.

Those are just first ideas so far wanted to see what you think before i decide, i may even go with something completely different yet.

Concepts to follow....

Thanks

i like the helicopter idea - that sounds cool. i was thinking of doing a doll or child's toy too, but it maybe seems a bit obvious to be honest. having said that, if it was done right, it could be really cool and creepy.

Maybe a bit obvious yeah, I was going to run up some concepts then decide, I think I would enjoy doing the helicopter 1 more but I think the doll might be more challenging.
