Introduction to Maya - Modeling Fundamentals Vol 2
This course will look in the fundamentals of modeling in Maya with an emphasis on creating good topology. It's aimed at people that have some modeling experience in Maya but are having trouble with complex objects.

rhino

This is a rhino that I have been working on at the same time as my girl model. I was going to keep him low poly, but now I am thinking I might keep adding to him.

The proportions look right which in my opinion is the hardest part. I bet making him higher res would be fairly painless at this stage. What reference did you use? Anyway it looks cool.

I'm guessing that its the camera angle on the 1st of the last two pics that make his/her head look big!
this would be good to see walking and running in an animation

thanks for the comments guys. user added image

I must admit I haven't done too much on this as I have been playing Prey which I can definitely recommend. Very creepy and disgusting.

I am not sure in what direction to take this next - whether to just keep working with polys or to try out sub divisions. I think I want to keep it looking fairly realistic.

here are some of my refs - taken from 3dsk.
