Introduction to Maya - Rendering in Arnold
This course will look at the fundamentals of rendering in Arnold. We'll go through the different light types available, cameras, shaders, Arnold's render settings and finally how to split an image into render passes (AOV's), before we then reassemble it i

……… You have got to be kidding.

Dan, just render out a software render to show him the vast difference between Maxwell and Maya's render.

here is an actual lighting setup, simple yet effective, rather than the sun sky type lighting.

and if you can duplicate this in maya software, i will pay you 100$

the render isnt finished this is just a 7 sampling rate test'

How much time did you spend setting up the lights on this? I've heard that it doesn't take very much tweaking to get good results.

lighting setup on this render was literally under 5 minutes.

here is a bit more of a polished render, same as the last only higher sampling

and star wars boy, i dont want to see another one of your posts in this thread unless its a render duplication. otherwise, gtfo.

if you had any 3d skills you would have modelled and textured the filter just like i had to. you are pretty hopeless if you need to borrow an oil filter model because you cannot do your own. its not like its an advanced character model.

Wowzers! Whats been going on here??

I for one would be interested in seeing for a simple scene such as this if it would be possible to replicate it in maya software, although it would have to be fair and the same scene used, not remodeled

Do you use the same materials that you would in Maya or use maxwell's (I dont know much about how it works, just the results) I saw a tutorial on it and it seemed pretty cool, and ive seen somre really good images here using it too.

Yeah I'd be interested in seeing a maya software render to see the difference. Could you do it please Turbo Dan.

@Starjsjswars: Yes
