This course will look at the fundamentals of modeling in Maya with an emphasis on creating good topology. We'll look at what makes a good model in Maya and why objects are modeled in the way they are.
Finished texturing the sword, the character is taking longer.
I'm going to see how it fits with the character, I might give it a black blade if it doesn't suit him.
Looks neat. Skin could use some details, perhaps, like maybe scars, a tatoo, or whatever. Maybe a slight (very slight) bump map for the skin, depending on the look you're going for.
Thanks Mike. I might have ago at adding a bump map and some tatoos if I have time left over at the end (tried a few tatoos but couldn't get them to look right). I'm hoping to start some animtion tomorrow.
Hadn't noticed that Pony, if I have time at the end I might retexture the sword to suit better, so I could experiment with a different grip shader then.
O.K. I rendered this one with a still camera. The other one was supposed to look like he hit the camera with the last punch. I suppose I should concentrate on getting the basics down before messing with camera techniques .
