Maya for 3D Printing - Rapid Prototyping
In this course we're going to look at something a little different, creating technically accurate 3D printed parts.

Simple question

Hello, ive resently told my parents that I would like to pursue the art of modeling and animatating and they purchased me maya unlimited. Only been using for two days now and done few tuts'. My question is when i download some of the models from this forum i.e the human figure base model. Where do i extract the file "manfigure.mb" to be able to open and use. As in what folder do i put any model i download. Thankyou for your time user added image

You can open the .ma and .mb files from anywhere you chose, but you should get in habit of creating project folders for scenes that go together. You can create a new project folder from the file menu. Project folders will will have a series of standard subfolders for things such as renders, image sources, etc.

to save your images, you should create a new project on your c drive .copy and paste your images into the source images folder. Then they will always be there when you need them. Its a good habit to get into
