Maya 2020 fundamentals - modelling the real world
Get halfway through a model and find it's an unworkable mess? Can't add edge loops where you need them? Can't subdivide a mesh properly? If any of this sounds familiar check this course out.

Cloth Sim Plugin for Maya Complete??

Just been playing with Shave and a Haircut for Maya, and it made me wonder whether anyone knows of a decent cloth simulation plug in for Maya complete. Can't afford Unlimited just yet!

Ouch! Maybe I'll just have to stick with soft bodies for the time being.

Thank you anyway.

Thank you, but that looks like a CAD way of designing clothes to import into Maya. I'm looking for something to make the clothes move realistically.

Thanks for looking, though.

Hi Julian,

apparently Highend3d seems to be down at the moment... -->
https://www.highend3d.com/

but as I recall I think they have a couple of melscripts related to Cloth... that you maybe can use... when Highend3d works again I will suggest you to take a look and see if it is something you can use...

and other thing you maybe can do is talk to this fellow... who is working on a cloth program... -->
https://sourceforge.net/projects/freecloth/
https://freecloth.enigmati.ca/

the following is taken from the overview site of it...
https://freecloth.enigmati.ca/overview.html

Freecloth is not yet ready for regular users. It's still under development, and does not have a polished user interface, or plugins for popular modeling software packages. At present, there's just a library and a small demonstration application. It is unlikely that I will have the time to implement a plugin for 3dsmax or Maya. If you are interested in hiring me to write such a plugin, please contact me. My e-mail is drpritch [at] alumni.uwaterloo.ca (replace [at] with the @ sign).

maybe he can make something... e.g. a plugin for Maya but I don't know if that will be for free or it is gonna cost something... user added image

I've been looking, and I can't find anywhere what 3d package they used for matrix. I do know that they rendered in Mental Ray.
