Complex UV Layout in Maya
Over the last couple of years UV layout in Maya has changed for the better. In this course we're going to be taking a look at some of those changes as we UV map an entire character

Cartoon MR2

well, since i do not have the skills to finish up my TRD WideBody MR2, i decided to play with it and created a cartoon version of it, maybe later on i will print out some heattransfer t-shirt^^ comments?

Have you tried the vector render engine with it?

thanks all, well i just resized my actuall (non cartoon version) to shorter and smaller, fixed this and that and made it into this cartoon car, no i didn't try the vector render engine, infact i don't know what that is^^ if u guys like this car, u should also check out my old WIP too, it's the non cartoon version of it, never get to finish it..too hard for me... -__- https://forum.simplymaya.com/showthre...light=widebody

hi people, i think i need some tips on how to set the lighting, i want my car to show more details and shadows, appreciate any helps! thanks

if you're wanting more detailed shadowing, try enabling raytracing in the shader properties (and also in the render globals). and to maybe get all your details shown, having a whole bunch of lights surrounding the model will allow more even shading and highlighting.

if you've done that already, how about trying GI?
