Maya for 3D Printing - Rapid Prototyping
In this course we're going to look at something a little different, creating technically accurate 3D printed parts.

M4 - texturing and materials

Hi,

got one month at uni now to put my project together and get all the writing done, so trying to get my models finished up and lit.

Here's the m4 I made a while back, textured and lit, though it still needs work.

Just lit by two area lights (main and fill), with an extra spot light outputting only a soft blue specular highlight into the scene, and there is an image dome to create reflections on the reflective parts.

Crits and comments welcome.

cheers

Ok,

here's a couple more, with the light intensity increased and the background lightened.

Hope these are more to your liking!

cheers

PS just noticed that I've forgotten to turn on the sphere for the, though only a couple of parts are reflective.
