pumpkin displacement

Hey, just a quick question I about displacement maps. Whenever I add a map to this otherwsie smooth rendering pumpkin it always breaks it up into quads. Why is that/how can I fix it?

Thanks!

What you do is select the pumpkin and you go to .soften/harden normals and you set the thin to 180(all soft). THen it should break up the faces... thing.
Nice pumpkin BTW
