I was going to rip it from the bluray - but its on a angle and there is very little footage.... so i was going to re create it in 3d i think. It has no ears and that freaks me out a little.

But day off from the guy today. Got Breaking Bad to watch

After a few days off back at it.

Upper body time - the two chest pieces are not angled yet as I am just figuring out how it goes together.
The temp shader is playing right up on these parts but some other test is showing that the geo is good.

Not being funny tweeny bu the one mesh on the left does not look right I think you need to have more subdivision before you start modelling.............dave

Well I would have loved to prove there was nothing wrong with the geo but just had a crash and the file is corrupted. Going back to the last file I have lost everything apart from the very central part of the upper body. Maya did not even try to save a temp file - errrrrrrr. If you look at the image here you can see apart of the area - it really is something to do with that shader but not sure what. Oh well waist of a day - Cheers Maya.

I had got the whole inner frame made - the pistons holding up the upper body (was coping the final one over when it crashed) and got the chest pieces in the right places.

Edit : Just found one of the AO renders which shows that the surface is flat

Well after a little break playing Hitman games and watching rigging videos I am now at the same place I was before the crash. That shader is still playing up but I`m not worried.

Just set these off to see how scale was going - I am quite happy with it - need to higher the body up alittle but everything else looks spot on compared to my model in my hand

Thank you

Sorted out the pistons and moving up the upper body. Also placed the arms in to the right place - I can now start the upper body armer.

Many thanks - The shader is just a "mia_material_x_passes" with a "SatinedMetal" present applied and is far from perfect. Makes some pieces of geo look like there are problems when there is not. I think its the HDRI lighting that makes it look good. But it will do for now until I get it done. Was hoping to do some work today but then Wales went and beat France in Rugby so had to go out for a few. user added image
