The only negative things I can say about it is that the cuts to Merry, Pippen and Treebeard are very badly timed... I mean one minute theres intense battles at helms deep which are just amazing, and then you spend 5 minutes in the forest listening to those 3 bantering.
talk about killing momentum.
also sam and frodo have a few too many nauseating "chummy" scenes. aside from that its all good imo:
Golum is incredible, the helms deep battle is incredible, liv tyler looks incredible... shall be seeing it all over again shortly

I have to agree with Kal and Kevin now that I've seen it....the pacing and the "chummy" scenes....they kinda made me cringe. They could have made it more exciting by shortening it and still keeping the important content. Eh! It is what it is.
