This course will look at the fundamentals of modeling in Maya with an emphasis on creating good topology. We'll look at what makes a good model in Maya and why objects are modeled in the way they are.

Holy crap these textures are awesome! Keep it up kurt... user added image. Just wanted to say, man.. i have been trying to find a fractal image like that and a ramp shader.. that eye may be easy to make, but its done wonderfully.. wish i had a eye like that in blue for my dino user added image.

Excellent Kurt! Is the bump a map? or did you generate with the tools in maya? Looks real good.

That bump was done using maya, you can do the same thing in photoshop...

WHAT!?!?!? lol

framestore CFC are one of the biggest visual effects companies in the world!!! user added image they're based in Soho in london and they did a series called "Walking With Dinosaurs" for the BBC a couple of years ago. How did you do the uv mapping? Is there any help on that in the Maya libraries? Or some book or tutorial somewhere?
