hey, just did a quick test of the tire. I think i am going to have to break the outside tire into a couple pieces, or change the bump map. C&C on this or the car... anything?

i think the tire looks cool! but the side wall definately has a problem on it. Although i can't tell what it is sorry. The bump on the outer surface should be okay, unless you want extreme close ups on the treads. Kurt makes really good tires..........

alright.. here is an update. I kinda did a quick roof, and also put on some mirrors. What do you guys think?
oh, and i added some stuff to the tire, but i still can't get the rubber part of the tires right. Can anyone help me on this? C&C Plz!

BTW are you using Blueprints? I used the ones from Surrland, they worked well, althought the resolution on their image is pretty low.

i think i did get them from surrland. The planes really don't even match up... but that doesn't really matter. Now its time to tackle the back end.... This should be interesting.
The front end i am modeling is the blitz front.. gotta love that one.
BTW, this is a design of what my real car will look like when it is finished.. i hope : )

well to make this, i used basicly all curves, and the bi-rail tool.

nice looking start you have there and nice to see somebody else using nurbs for a car most seem to be poly ...........mine is nurbs hence no post on it but i getting engouraged with see ing what others are doing one day i'll get there also

one sugestion to get a little better looking finish for renders to show try rendering with MR user added image
