Maya for 3D Printing - Rapid Prototyping
In this course we're going to look at something a little different, creating technically accurate 3D printed parts.

Ja, ich habe Deutsch gelernnt, aber mein Deutsch ist nicht so gut...

...So have any of youse mugs ever been to New York (other than Arran, he's in Brooklyn)? :-)

One other thing I've noticed is that there are a LOT of musicians here as well! For the record, I lead an 11 piece jazz group in New York. I actually took a couple of years off from animation to play jazz full-time...and then I met my future wife! :-) I still play several times a month (drums), and also play in a military band (Army National Guard). I suppose music and animation do in fact go together!

Have a good day, everyone!

i certainly understand giving up animation for music, I love 2D, it has a personal touch that can not seem to be achieved yet on 3D. as does music (personal touch that is, originality in every piece, genuine piece that is) look at Kurt's web site as just one example, I think his 2D work has a very personal touch compared to his 3D work.

music is art, 2D is art, anything where one actually touches the page or string, direct touch, where one is the vehicle for the great artist in the sky has a flavour of that artists nature.3D seems to always look a bit like a commercial or a nightmre.

I was thinking of going back to music full time but i found out yesterday that a finished commercial animated here in Australia is $300 a second.?? I was wondering if i was spreading myself too thin with 3d (I love it but it takes a long time as does any art)

it seems i can't stop 3D i dint want to.

it is interesting how many 3D artists are musicians, I've noticed that too but i think artists take on a number of art forms, i think it is their nature. it just depends on what you are exposed to.

military band, i think you hav to be very good to get into that.

many will disagree with me i am sure (about the 3D)

never been to America one day i'll hit the dog and toad (the road) and get there.

then you guys know how broken Broken hill is, just one big broken hill ha ha. Its huge actually, can see it for miles, its the only thing above ground level for a long way, except the sheep .

thought I'd join the crowd here and learn all the secrets that hide under the hood of Maya.

i go to Melbourne quiet often i live 8 hours from there (ha ha), thats the good thing about being in the middle of nowhere, its close to everwhere.

what are you guys working on now ha ha? user added image

I might join the "where R thou from"'s...

I'm form denmark. We are not very known for our 3D animations, but our 2D caricaturs seems to do very well. user added image
