the numbers do start getting a bit confusing if things turn around for Portugal today.

Wow!!! Greece are definately making a name for themselves in this tournament!! Good for them!!!!

Well...It's here......Portugal's turn to get going......let's hope that they have a bit more ambition this time around. I am glad to see that starting eleven. I am also glad to see that Paulo Ferreira is not starting, I think he is overrated (My opinion anyway)

It's do or die time for Portugal, they HAVE to win!!!! FORCA PORTUGAL!!!!!!

Specially if Portugal and Greece end up with same points. I think Portugal will go out as they lost to them.

There is no other way Portugal has to beat SPAIN!!!!

"Paulo Ferreira is not starting"

Well spotted did not notice that. He is a good defender normally but I am not complaining.

Rui Costa is out as well.

25 minute hmmm!!! Temperature 36 degrees good for Portugal bad for Russia.

I think we have a problem regarding Figo playing with Deco. What if he does not pass the ball and tries to dribble alone????

FIGO what a KNOB!!! Maybe he should live in Portugal and marry a Portugese instead of a Swede if he is mouthing off so much about Deco being not Portugese!!!!!

Shit happens man. In the lasst Euro it was a 50:50 penalty as well in the semi against France.

Anyway the goalie should have stayed in his box and let Pauleta score:-)

Portugal is playing bit more as a team but it's not fully clicking. It was in the 1st 10 minutes.
All that possession and only 1:0 is not good.
I hope they don't slack off just because Russia has 10 men.
Bring Ronaldo as soon as Potugal go 2:0 up just to be safe in case Ronaldo concedes a penalty :-) LOL!!

The defence is not solid but much much better without grandad Coutu.

Miguel is much faster and ran back really fast after loosing the ball.

45+1 mins: Ovchinniko takes his time to leave the field and while he is about to leave, a Russian fan comes on to the pitch and confronts one of the assistant referees before finally being captured by police and security staff.
