Beer glass scene creation
This course contains a little bit of everything with modeling, UVing, texturing and dynamics in Maya, as well as compositing multilayered EXR's in Photoshop.

user added image wicked Ant. Simple, but effective. Am now ashamed of my all to static camera move in my helicopter scene.

Where do you go from here?

forgive the delay Ant, been rendering different layers of my Hind project thing to get a sort of test through animation.

I agree with Dave, although, im thinking, is it just because it looks like more of a defined ship? The other one looks like more of an evil, bad-guys ship, with all those jutting angles and ugly (in a good way!) shape. Both could work. (poor decision maker over here!)

edit.... in fact, Im going to go with the more evil one. The other one looks to me like a hero's ship, the other one is definitely more evil, like a tie-fighter compared to an ex-wing

i made some changes... i got rid of the motion path, and created one joint and used an ik spline to control the ship. if you select the ik handle i have keyed the offset from 10-0 so you have more control over the speed of the ship. you can also use the roll attribute under offset to make the ship roll on the corners.
A problem that you have is the camera. with it being parented to the ship its pretty boring. like an old computer game. i just left that, but would suggest setting up some separate keys for that.

I'm not really sure what this thread is about btw, i just wanted to have a look.
