Complex UV Layout in Maya
Over the last couple of years UV layout in Maya has changed for the better. In this course we're going to be taking a look at some of those changes as we UV map an entire character

Just wondering, is there any sort of 3D veiwer that doesn't need a program like MAYA? Cause i want to send a model to my Grandad that he can turn around and look at without the software. Help would be very good user added image

Maybe a 3d Converter, just search on google for 3d object converter, and you save the model in Maya as a .obj. For the obj to work, you have to go to the plug in manager, and then you need to enabe objexport.mll. Or something like that. Then you go to file-export-save as- and you have to save the object WITH THE OBJECT NAME SAYING "name.obj". If you dont write the .obj, it will save the file as a .dat file.
Now you go to the 3d object converter, and open the file with the little file type thing on ".obj"(Wavefront)
Good luck.

Is this what you are trying to get your laptop screen to do?
