Smoothig my animation?

I have an amimation i need to comp with live footage but can't get it smooth enough. It's only 20 frames long and it's a jet flying overhead with no camera motion. The jet is attached to a motion path, flying in a straight line, the CV curve being comprised of 6 control vertices. It just doesn't look smooth. Anyone get any ideas?

lengthen the animation, and increase the frames per second. IE: 60 frames at 35 fps
