Complex UV Layout in Maya
Over the last couple of years UV layout in Maya has changed for the better. In this course we're going to be taking a look at some of those changes as we UV map an entire character

May Pirate Challenge - Norm - BillyZ

Sigh, I haven't been on this site for a while. Let a lone I'm a lil rusty with Maya haha.. but I have Kurt's DVD, so I should be fine.. lol.

My idea for the challenge, well I wanted to start off with a funny scene like "What if Scenario".. what if Captain Crunch was a tretcherous pirate.. but I really should work on my realism characters. So my pirate is female, and after playing SWG for months she's a space pirate (rogue, smuggler). So far I'm limiting her to human, but depending how much time I have in the end, I maybe make her into some alien race.

I going to try and give her the similar look of the traditional pirate but more in a futuristic look. Including the eye patch, possibly hook and puffy clothes. More to come...

I know I have a bad habit of never finishing the models I enter in the challenges. And I think this might be the case as well, but for good reason. I just found out that I'v been accepted to study at Digital Animation course of my choice.

So I gotta start packing, going to move to Vancouver, BC. :>
