Maya for 3D Printing - Rapid Prototyping
In this course we're going to look at something a little different, creating technically accurate 3D printed parts.

Error Message

I am trying to create a shatter effect on a polygonal object, which supposedly I am able to do, (I have maya 6.0 PLE) I know how to do it, so this isn't a dynamics question, the problem is, when I create a surface shatter, nothing happens, and in the little bar on the bottom where it tells you the results of your actions it says Result: . It is just blank, with a nurbs object it says, Result:surfaceShatter. or if I try a Solid shatter or Crack shatter on a polygonal shatter i get an error message saying

"Error: An error occurred while running the Solid Shatter script. Results may be invalid. If necessary, undo to restore the previous situation."

Any idea what the problem is, is it my program?

I'd kinda forgotten I posted this topic, but since then, I have gotten help, and figured out how to fix this. (Thanks to the guy who helped me with this) You have to first go to Edit>Delete by type>History. Don't ask me why, if you look in the script editor after you get the error message it actually tells you to do this, but i'm not sure the reason. Oh well, go do this, and proceed, and thinks work. Keep in mind, things like a solid shatter take forever to compute, so be patient.
Hope this helps whoever else had this problem.
