Maya 2020 fundamentals - modelling the real world
Get halfway through a model and find it's an unworkable mess? Can't add edge loops where you need them? Can't subdivide a mesh properly? If any of this sounds familiar check this course out.

Well I had said about 3 weeks ago that I wasnt going to be able to complete my character in time. I was forced to quit my job this past Saturday bc it affected my school work. So I thought I would see what I could do in a few more hours of time and try to come up with something
presentable. Technically he is far from being finished. I just simply finished his hands real quick and blocked in some color. Never used Zbrush before and so I tried taking just the head into it and seeing what I could do, but everytime I tried to use the bump brush on it zbrush would crash.

Anyway here it is about 50 percent done.

Maya 7.0
Mental Ray 3.4
Zbrush 2.0

Total work time about 9 hours.

I would love to finish him sometime in the future.

Finially finished this project. Lets see if the work pays off.

Had to delete the previous post to upload a better, brighter version.

Here are some specs of the model since alot opf people here are doing so.

25832 tris total.

The only thing I hand painted were the largest horns. Used phongs for small parts, and a modified reptile shader for the whole body.
