This course contains a little bit of everything with modeling, UVing, texturing and dynamics in Maya, as well as compositing multilayered EXR's in Photoshop.

nice looking scence ya got here dude,

user added image - i like the atmosphere,
nice lighting in the windows

user added image - IMO - lose the lights in the pillars, they look out of place (or move them) and stick a moon map over the moon and lower the intensity a wee bit (like i said IMO - you know the feel for the scene user added image )

laters - murph

Working on a detail, this here little Gargoyle.

The look I'm shooting for is a gothic stonecarving, masonry type statue. What you see so far is no where near final. It's modelled in nurbs and I'm trying to figure out how to give him some cool looking wings next. Kurt's Cartoon Dog tutorial has been a great help here.

Spent time studying composition, a topic I've been struggling with a long time. I think I have come up with one for the house. No details yet user added image In the meantime, here's the start of the gargoyle.

Ran out of time coz I'm hospitalized and scheduled for surgery in January. Wish I had more time to dig into all the basics of 3D more and art fundamentals. Thanks all for your input and encouragements. I will hopefully be able to participate in the next challenge, a little wiser and faster.

Did post a little something in the finals thread rather than yield hehe.
