Question on Modeling a Human

I want to start modeling a human, but I dont know if I should model it with NURBS or Polys. I know its all a matter of preference really, but what do you guys think I should start out with? Ive modeled little things with NURBS, and polys before, so Im fairly familiar with both. Any suggestions? Thnx

I advocate polygons as well...

Man must a have a weird style of modeling,, heheh I start of with nurbs primitives or curves go to polys then sub-ds. Than sub-d back to poly...

I start with a poly primitive, mostly a cube, stretch the initial points to fit the boundary of my object, and start cutting in the shape, similar to rock sculpture, I suppose... user added image

I do the same. I think I have more control when I do it... I can control the numbers of polygons easier.
