Exporting models into ASE file format for Alice programming Language

Hi there all,
I wanted to know, has anyone tried exporting models that support the Alice programming language software? If so, then were you ever been successfull in completing the whole process? I ask this because according to the designer's of Alice, they say that most graphic designer students are using Max since the ASE file type is Max's default way of writing an ASCII file. However, after doing a search, I found that ActorX has created a free plug-in that can export Maya models into an ASE file.
