Futu Marine

Hey guy's i'm starting to create a futuristic marine.
Polycount limit 4-6k

Next up texturing the head, and then onwards to the body.

I do have a question, i have never created a model that is needed for games, and i tried applying soft/harden edges. But it's not what i'm getting.

Example i wanted to create a hard edge between the screen of the helmet and the helmet itself. How do you do that?

Or do you just soften everything?

Thx!

I found a way to better use the hard/soft edges, here is the basic body, still working on the gadgets on the body.

Current poly count 4800

The model looks really cool... but I don't like the lack of contrast on the texture.

Fast progress!

The helmet dosent really do it for me, but thats just personal opinion.

If you wanted to you could reduce the number of polys on the chest areas as it looks a bit dense to me for not much reason.

Hey thanks all for the comments.

I will have to work on the contrast of the texture!

And yes i think i could delete a couple edges near the chest, but there are in a helix form towards the arms.

I'll see what i can do, thanks again for the comments!
