Open the hardware render buffer, under the Render menu open the Attributes and set the settings the way you want them. Then run the Render Sequence command (alson in the Render menu.

update your video drivers, and if that doesn't work, you get a new graphics card.

video drivers are what tell the computer how to use your video card (and what kind it is). you can either right click on your desktop, go to properties-->settings-->advanced-->adapter-->properties-->drivers, or you can right click on my computer, go to properties-->hardware-->device manager-->display adapters, and double click on your video card.

every now and then video card manufacturers will come out with new video drivers that allow the computer to communicate with the video card more efficiently, allow them to utilize more functions, fix bugs, etc. updating your video driver usually fixes a lot of problems, but sometimes your video card just doesn't meet the minimum requirements to perform certain tasks... in that case, you just need to upgrade to a better card.

oh, and more ram on the card doesn't necessarily mean better. there are older cards out there that have loads of ram but still can't process certain types of tasks or aren't compatible with the latest versions of direct x.
