EXPLOSION TUTORIAL!!!

Its going to be released today folks! And its awesome!!

Always wanted to "blow something up"?? Well now you can!

Also check out the AVI below to see a small clip of your end result! The tutorial comes in 2 parts and is over 1hr 30 mins long!

Here what you will cover:

------------------------------------------------

PART 1 - DYNAMIC EXPLOSIONS for VFX:
In this tut, Izzy starts us with the simple exploding spaceship.

You'll learn:
1. zero-G explosion animation
2. Mild dynamic simulation of debris.
3. 1 debris creation method
4. mild paticle debris
5. stock footage pyro usage
7. compositing the final shot
(any compositor will work)

Part 1a comes complete with a Maya 4.5 scene file, AND 2 STOCK-PYRO movies to use for the debris compositing sequence.

----------------------------------------------

And here is the AVI clip (300 k)

Enjoy this great tutorial

Please make sure you have the DIVX codec installed to watch the clip user added image

https://www.divx.com/divx/ make sure you get the free one and not the Adware one unless you like GATOR windows popping up every time you move your mouse (like me)

But ... if you do accidently download the wrong one, or you have an ad / popup / nasty features on your pc go here: https://www.lavasoft.nu/

Its great...searches you pc for nastiness and lets you destroy user added image

I found 78 entrys on GATOR plus "other" trackers

Good bye.... you pesky little rodents

GATOR :mingun:

Kevin,

How do you guys determine how many points certain tutorials are worth over others? Just Curious.

Hi pete:

well this is how it works as it all comes down to size of the movie as this costs us more in bandwidth..

if a movie part is:

30 mins or under = 1 point
between 30 and 60 mins = 2 points
over 1 hr = 3 points

You will probably notice that most movies are 1 point. This is a mistake I made when adding them, so It wasnt then fair for me to go back and edit them and change them as some people had already downloaded.

so for about 14 points you could get about 7 hrs of movies... give or take a little user added image

or I also forgot to mrntion, If the tutorial comes with a quality scene file (like the arm stitch) one. Then this may also increase the points cost.

No prob NitroLiq:

After you have seen it and if you need to know any more about it or have anyquestions regarding it then stick a thread in the "effects" area of the VIP members area.

As soon as you are a member you will see a new section of the board open with the VIP members questions and feedback in user added image

Aha! I had wondered about that (the VIP section of the board) user added image. I should be signing up shortly...it's been crazy moneywise dealing with all the x-mas stuff. You can just call me Pete, by the way.

yep thats the stuff pete... when you become a vip member you download you movies from the main site but you can direct any question you may have to the right areas...

this is just a way of getting them answered as quickly as possible as there is usually someone lurking in there user added image

This is how the board looks under the effects area:

Null perspiration dude. If I can get a handle on building/attaching things beyond simple primitives, it'll have been well worth it. user added image
