Introduction to Maya - Modeling Fundamentals Vol 2
This course will look in the fundamentals of modeling in Maya with an emphasis on creating good topology. It's aimed at people that have some modeling experience in Maya but are having trouble with complex objects.

Like I said for a bit of fun no names, in finished work some one had created a cube and stretched it to what he thought was a face, For once I did not post.............dave

worst model i ever saw on this site, was my attempt at Halle Berry Cat Woman about 8 years ago, i think i gave up after the second screen shot post,
That was coincidentally my last attempt at anything organic as well.

By far the worst I have ever seen was a model a freelance artiest sent to the company I worked for while making the film "Andalus". It was of a ship with oars and two main post with sails.

Now looking at screen grabs of it, it looked really good.

But when my boss paid for it and it was sent over it took me 4 days to sort it out. It was about 8,000,000 polys (way over budget) none of it labelled (never good sign) and had one very small texture. But it was the way the parts were layed out which shocked me the most. Random parts were grouped together (two of oar were grouped to a door and a mast) but it looked as if each face was a separate poly, which was a pain even more as it was all in tri`s and we needed poly`s. In the end I just remade the whole thing. We did try and get a refund but got no reply. But we did learn to ask for wire shots of everything else we got online.

Although not shown here on the site it was here we hired the guy from (naming no names)

i would dave, but i don't have the screens or the model anymore.

you can search for it here though just do a search for my screen name and it'll be in the archives somewhere in the last decade.

Surpossed to have internet back in 2 weeks so see you all propally then

Haha... man hammer, what a hilarious site. Course I can't laugh too hard, cause there's probably some stuff there that's beyond my skill yet, but some pretty funny stuff nonetheless.

I really judge his credibility. I don't think he should be commenting on peoples work especially with the color scheme he has chosen for his site.

Since when has competence been a prerequisite for making fun of people?
