Introduction to Maya - Modeling Fundamentals Vol 2
This course will look in the fundamentals of modeling in Maya with an emphasis on creating good topology. It's aimed at people that have some modeling experience in Maya but are having trouble with complex objects.

This is a graphics card issue, try updating your drivers.

Could a mod please sticky this question

If they did, there would be many, many stickies. Perhaps there should be one sticky for all the graphics errors.

But yes, it does look like a graphics card issue. Maya has a lot of trouble with non-workstation cards. It likes Quadro's and FireGL's.

One thing you could try is by using the viewcube to switch to other views. The viewcube changes the perspective camera into the orthographic views, so it might work. If they disappear, it's probably due to the orthographic views. If you want to get around this, and use perspective cameras as orthographic, you can crank the focal length in the perspective camera's attribute editor.

Hope this works.

I have a Dell
Windows XP home Edition
Intel Graphic Media
Accelerator Driver
Drive Version 6.14.10.4820

Any recommendation on what I need to run Maya.

That's your problem. Maya doesn't like onboard video cards. The most foolproof way would be to go out and get a new video card; however there is something you should try before that. Try downgrading your drivers to something older. Sometimes that works.

Eh?? Then why is your screenshot of a mac? If your running this in emulation, don't. It can't handle it.

I think this is Maya 7 right?
