Maya 2020 fundamentals - modelling the real world

Get halfway through a model and find it's an unworkable mess? Can't add edge loops where you need them? Can't subdivide a mesh properly? If any of this sounds familiar check this course out.

We had a request from Jim...saying that he would like a forum dedicated to just mental ray for maya.

I would love this.

I am trying to think of the usefullness of such a forum/threads and the following is what I would find interesting about a mental ray forum/threads.

-some sort of FAQ about mentalray
-some links to other useful documents about MR
-maybe a small "gallery" thread, for show of problems or solutions or simply results.
-although it may a bit off, how about a part about writing shaders for mentalray (hehe, if anyone is really interested in this, im not into writing shaders but I'd love to pick up info about this)

hmm, came to think of it, I will likely to be without internet connection within the next two months. I'll be moving to a new appartment soon and I do not know if there is possible to set up a adsl connnection there. Sorry Kevin but I must decline.

I just started messing around with MentalRay last night. The checkboxes are well scattered through out. A forum would be great. We could all learn from each other through trial and errors.
