Where is Maya's 'Output Window' on a Mac?

Hi,
A tutorial refers to the Output Window, with all the rendering statistics, wallclock etc.
I can't find this on the Mac, is it called something else perhaps?

Thanks

I think the Output window is a Windows thing only since Windows does not have a native way of displaying stdout/stderr streams. Try opening Maya from a terminal and you should see the "output window" stuff printed in that terminal.

Thanks, I hadn't thought of using the terminal. Simply opening it from the terminal doesn't echo the messages, but maybe I can coax it with a bit of work.
