Exporting from Maya

What options exist for getting Maya files into 3DS Max?
I've downloaded FBXConverter but it doesn't seem to mention anything about Maya.

I use an application called Deep Exploration which can convert a Maya .obj file to a Max .3ds file.

You need to get the actual FBX plugin and enable that in Maya. You can then export to FBX and then import that FBX file into Max (which should alreayd have the FBX plugin installed by default).
