Maya for 3D Printing - Rapid Prototyping
In this course we're going to look at something a little different, creating technically accurate 3D printed parts.

Export model options

I want to export my model as a DXF, 3DS, and/or a VRML. One of the format types would be fine. But, I cannot make out the instructions on how.

Every attempt I've made has resulted in just another ".mb" file.

Any help? user added image

Check your plug-in manager and make sure that the right plugins are checked....

window-->Setting&Prefs-->Plug-in Manager

by default there is a 3dsimport.mll....but I haven't found an export one.....maybe someone else has more insight...

these are ones you should have though:

dwgTranslator.mll
vrml2export.mll
objExport.mll

that should get you on the right track....
