PS question

ok, so as you may have noticed from the "post your desktop" thread and some others i've posted in/made, i'm remaking the appearance of my comp...

anyways, i'm working on a BG right now and trying to make some text but i cant see to get it right, i need to smooth out the edges without losing the sharpness (i want it to look like its cut out) and without losing the corners, anyone know of a way to do this?

I'd do that with flash...
looks simple enough. I don't know about photoshop b I wouldn't bother saving a text in that condition.

Looks great. I noticed it shortly after I wrote this...
Flash is really easy to use. I like it especially for icons and stuff like that.

flash is vector based, which means everything is drawn like NURBS
so no matter how close you get to something it's always sharp, clear, and crisp

what did you do to make the green glow for your text? was it a layer effect?
