Maya 2020 fundamentals - modelling the real world
Get halfway through a model and find it's an unworkable mess? Can't add edge loops where you need them? Can't subdivide a mesh properly? If any of this sounds familiar check this course out.

Toonish Knight

My latest project (it remains to be seen if I can push a project through to completion - but hope springs eternal):

Here is a short, rendered clip (high poly) to give a view of the whole thing.

In the side view, below the knee looks slightly too far back... apart from that it looks like very neat work, well done!

Sorry, I get a couple hours a week to work on this. Haven't touched it since I posted. I'll try to get a couple smoothed renders up tomorrow.

Yeah, I've been told about the knee from another friend of mine. I'm not sure if I should change it or not. Perhaps I'll test moving it forward and see if I like it that way. I'm not exactly going for realism so I'm not sure if it will matter. My biggest concern is if it will make rigging harder.

Really cool model! I really like the overall style of it. It does have sort of a Mr. Incredible feel to it. IMHO, I would try and move that part of the leg slightly forward, though. It just seems a bit too far back, even for a cartoony style. But, overall, I think it's awesome, and I can't wait to see the progress!

Did a little more work on him. Added a belt and sheath for a sword I had created as part of a personal NURBS learning project (which has since been converted to polys because I wasn't aware of the nastiness of nurbs texturing).
