Maya 2020 fundamentals - modelling the real world

Positional tolerance reset..?
I change my positional tolerance in preferences > Settings to 0.01 (millimeters). When i restart Maya, then it happens. it gets to 0.1 sometime i noticed it goes to 1.0 and not that often it went to 20.0.
Is there a solution for that plz?
