maya 4.5 & 5.0

is it possible to read, within maya 4.5

projects made with 5.0 : error
simple utility????

If I'm not mistaken, you can open 4.5 objects in Maya 5.0 but not the reverse. They are backwards compatible, not forwards user added image

Yes, everything is backward compatible, but not forward compatible, so I could open a Maya 3.0 file in Maya 5.0, but I couldn't open a Maya 5.0 file in Maya 3.0.
