object export

Hey.
how would i go about export an object as a list of vertices (their coordinates) and a list of connections in ascii format

this is for importing into openGL, if there's an proper way of achieving this result please tell me. user added image

In ASCII... hmmm... I think the closest thing to it is just to save it as .ma.
But what you can do is you save it as OBJ. This you do by allowing it from the import manager and in the File menu use export... w/e.
Then you search on Google for a 3d Object Converter. I have one with me that converts over 600 file types to and from OBJ (openGL just happens to be one of them) and 300 more that just converts to OBJ and not back. Anyway its a kick ass program, and you should try that.
