Maya for 3D Printing - Rapid Prototyping
In this course we're going to look at something a little different, creating technically accurate 3D printed parts.

tri count

i have been creating a character. i need to know how many triangle polys are on that character. there is an option that i found that displays the poly count on that character.
BUT IT ONLY TELLS ME HOW MANY VERTS, EDGES, FACES AND UV'S I HAVE. IT doesn't tell me how many tris i have in my scene or on my character.
How can i display the tri count on my display screen???????????????????????????????????????

Polygons > Triangulate.

Once you have your count, you can undo the triangulation.

In Maya 6, the polycount HUD has added Tris to the display.
