This course contains a little bit of everything with modeling, UVing, texturing and dynamics in Maya, as well as compositing multilayered EXR's in Photoshop.

Looking good! I liked his belly in the sketch... are you going to make him a fat lazy bastard in 3D as well?
also looking forward to the sweat and steams.

Ill have some wires for it all soon Big T.

Benny - I still want him to have the plump belly but I was thinking of a different idea for the final pose. Instead of the original concept, I'm going to have him sitting in his throne with fire in the background. (see attachment)

Thanks for the comments user added image

Nice sketch! The throne looks like something fun to model/texture... and you have fire there so you can still play around with 3D fluids and stuff for smoke.
Good luck! Looking forward to some progress user added image

Looks great! I like the 2d concept art a lot. That's something I'd like to get better at myself.

i wish i could get a chance to get started on mine!

that chair is looking sweet

are those bevels happening at rendertime or are they there in the model just not easily visible?

I would give the limbs and tail a slight bend , because joints can react strange when their straight(IK handles)

Looks great though

Well i had to rush on Saturday to get him in his pose and setup the scene. I would of liked to of worked more on textures, especially for the background and the model but seeing as texturing wasn't a immediate requirement I left it out. Here are a few Render Tests.
