Maya for 3D Printing - Rapid Prototyping
In this course we're going to look at something a little different, creating technically accurate 3D printed parts.

Answers time --

THX1138 -- Not sure if it is clean enough to be in the download section, not really something I have thought of to be honest so more information on that would be cool.

Master U -- ?

Still, watch this space (in a far while) for textureing progress.

I'm new here and I just saw your work and it's really really nice! but I just wanted to ask you if you have the file in .X file format. it's like Maya, 3dsmax 8, Blender etc. if you don't have it that way so fine.
but my real question is:

- if you are gonna post the file (your work) to the community so everyone could enjoy it. I really could use it cause there are a lot of game that you can mod. and you can put ships models in the game, but the only file it reads is.X file format. so that's about my question above.

Thanks.

Clean enough, what do you mean? If you talking about making it compatible with older versions of Maya, then all you have to do is open up your .mb file in note pad and change the all the version numbers to 4.0 for example.

Hope thats what your talking about.

legendofzombi -- Yer, doing something would be cool. Im also putting of the texturing as well as im trying to do this Organic modelling thing. Once that's done I will come back to this and do the texturing.

THX1138 -- I mean clean as in it's rather big and it might be a bit of a hassle to get it all uploaded and all that. Some refinement is probably needed.

As is the same with all the stuff I have done it's a hobby for the time being.

I do hope to get a job in the industry and am still working to that end.

What about you, where are you at with you Maya work?
