Introduction to Maya - Modeling Fundamentals Vol 1
This course will look at the fundamentals of modeling in Maya with an emphasis on creating good topology. We'll look at what makes a good model in Maya and why objects are modeled in the way they are.

binding and maya hair

I went to bind skin and my right eye and eyebrow and some hair don't stay with everything else. I selected each object from the neck up, and then the head. Went to Bind>smooth bind option box, settings are set to default
Bind To: Joint Hierarchy
Bind Method: Closest in Hierarchy
Max Influences: 5
After Bind: checked Maintain Max Influences
Dropoff Rate: 4.0
check: remove unused influences

Anyone know what could be causing this problem?

What is most likely happening is that those objects are mirrored objects and you have frozen the transforms on them which sets the opposite attribute, you can turn this off in the shape node of the object by unchecking Double Sided and then uncheck the opposite attribute and finally rechecking the Double sided.
Another possibility is you are getting a double transform somewhere , it might help to group those objects to themselves to freeze out the transforms.
The eyes would be better off being parented to the head joint rather than being bound anyway, as for the hair is it on a skull cap or attatched directly to the head geo ?

I did what jsprogg suggested and it worked for the eyes but the hair still flies off the head when I use Interactive Playback. Anymore ideas or suggestions are greatly appreciated.
