how do i make text 3D

How do i make 3D text, does anyone know where i can find a tutorial or can someone just tell me how to start making text 3D

There's a text tool somewhere that creates text outlines in curves. From there you just loft/extract/whatever to give it depth. I can't remember where it is, and I haven't got Maya open, but have a look in the Create menu or one of the NURBS ones as the curves are NURBS curves as far as I remember...

its under the create menu
also u could use bevel plus to make the txt 3d
this will allow u to round of edges easier and makes the txt look a lot smoother


Now at SMU doing BSc 3D Computer Animation so its hard to get on here
