Beer glass scene creation
This course contains a little bit of everything with modeling, UVing, texturing and dynamics in Maya, as well as compositing multilayered EXR's in Photoshop.

Car Model - Mclaren lm

Hey guys... I'm trying to model a Mclaren lm. A little unsure of how to proceed. If anyone could point me in the direction of a tutorial or give me any advice on modeling methods I'd really appreciate it.

How I got this far was I built 3 views from a blueprint. They didn't match 100 percent incidentally. Is that common? I mean that the front view was the same height as the side view but much narrower than the top view.

Anyway, I created a CV curve in the side view and duplicated it to make a series of curves following the shape of the car. I tried to use Birail to create a surface but that didn't work so I lofted between the curves to create the surface you see below.

Subaru Impreza WRC

There is a SUBARU IMPREZA WRC (1999) tutorial at https://www.blissdd.com/MikeThomsonWRX.htm

I'm currently working on it. (The first few pages, because I'm a total newbie with nurbs)

It doen't have the "click on this button, then drag the CV to the curve and attatch it with that button"-detail, but it's quite detailed.

Hey Emo - where's your graphic?

I still haven't been able to get the 3+ birail to work. It seems like a hell of a tool though. As for circular Filet that's not working either. Command line reads 'result' but there's nothing there. Strange. Anyway - I'm continuing modeling very slowly in NURBS. Panel for panel. user added image
