Maya 2020 fundamentals - modelling the real world
Get halfway through a model and find it's an unworkable mess? Can't add edge loops where you need them? Can't subdivide a mesh properly? If any of this sounds familiar check this course out.

Gallery submission

Hi,
This is my first poly project at school (about 4 months ago)
Anyone recognize it?
Be gentle, this is my first time submitting work to the public user added image

It's a nice model, but for the gallery, I think danny's going to want to see it more "finished" if you get my meaning... of course, Danny's the judge on this. user added image

nice model though!

Very nice model!

Is that Cinderella's Castle from the Magic Kingdom?

It's off to a good start. Not ready for the gallery yet, though. As Mike said, it needs to be more finished. user added image

oops, I guess I replied to Mikes post, but on the other thread. I was thinking finished because of the assignment was just to model it. (as in, I'm done with it).

No problem. It's a really nice model. If you set up the scene correctly, it could be gallery-worthy. It doesn't have to be a fancy environment. You can compose and light the image as thought the building was a maquette sitting on a tabletop. Just a suggestion.

With some textures and a nice diffuse lighting, that casle will rock. But I have to agree with the others that a gallery submission, should be a complete work.
