Modeling for a spring

can someone help me how to model for a spring? I am really appreciated. I learned this long time ago and now I am forgot how to do this in maya. Thank you

I posted a link in the newbie forum. You don't really need to post a question three times in different sections of the forum. It will be found. When in doubt, use the newbie forum, cause it's the most frequented I think.

There is a spiral primitive in the create polygon menu.
