Maya for 3D Printing - Rapid Prototyping
In this course we're going to look at something a little different, creating technically accurate 3D printed parts.

Underwater Surface anybody ?

Hi Everybody

I was wondering if there was anybody out there in Maya Land

who could finaly shed some like on this problem of mine as its become a bit of a pain.

I would like to know how to create a realistic underwater surface with fresnel properties, the water surface NOT the caustic pattern

I have done countless searches on google and i cant find anything on this so can anybody help ?

I have tried the ocean shader, with a dielectric material plugged into the ocean sg1 node which works ok but I lose detail and still doesnt look right.

I have been following the Gnomon Underwater DVD which is great
but doesnt cover real fresnel water surface creation.

If anybody can help at all on this that would be great.

Thanks

Andy Gee
