This course will look at the fundamentals of modeling in Maya with an emphasis on creating good topology. We'll look at what makes a good model in Maya and why objects are modeled in the way they are.

SpittleBone from Castlevania "Symphony of the night"

Here is a little model I am working on too practice. I just started texturing, and it is at 263 tris... the texture right now is 512, but I am gonna size it down to as small as possible...

So anyway, I will post a wire up too..

The texture isn't anywhere near done yet

I am thinking of doing a whole series of models from this game, because I have beaten it at least 30 times in my life, and it is my favorite game. I get inspired whenever I play it... so yeah, I may do more

Here is the texture so far and the UV map...
I am getting alot better at UVing and texturing, which is good, because I used to be even worse than I am now, haha

I THINK I am finished with this model, but I am not positive.

Also, as I said, I want to model more from this game, so if you want, you can go HERE and tell me what you would want to see in low-poly....

Ok, I made a decision...
I am gonna do ALL OF THESE in a month to see if I can.
In whatever order I please starting with the Merman, I guess...
So yeah, I will start on Monday February 23, and will hopefully end on Monday, March 23rd!
After that, I want to make a little scene with these too, so I may model an Environment if I get bored or stuck, haha

P.S. There are 17, and there are 29 days until then.... which means I need to do .5862 of a model every day to get it done... I think I can handle that.

lol dont forget that means you have to do 0.5862 of a texture and uving per day too so basically you gotta model and uv a model each day then texture the next day :bandit:

ugh.. sorry for the 2 day delay. I haven't had much time to work on it. I am now though, and I will tomorrow. and hopefully I will finish atleast the model by tomorrow or friday
